Private Forest Landowner Workshop: Accessing Grant Funds for Wildfire Resilience and Fuels Management Projects
Curious about state and federal grant-funded projects for fuels management on your Property? Not sure which project is right for you? Join the Buckeye Conservancy, California Forest Conservation Foundation (a IRC 501c3 organization and Forest Landowners of California’s education partner) and Humboldt and Del Norte Counties UC Cooperative Extension for a unique one-day workshop to help North Coast private forest landowners learn about and access state and federal grant funds for forest fuels reduction.
Hear from UC Extension, Cal Fire and NRCS experts in our “Grant Gatekeepers Presentations” as they explain available grant project options, demystify grant eligibility (both direct-to-individual landowner grants vs. nonprofit partnership grants) and present examples of successful projects.
Enjoy lunch catered by Uniquely Yours. Then, map out a road to success for your very own fuels management project during our “Bring-Your-Own-Project (BYOP) Lab Session.” Work one-on-one with representatives from local grant partners, nonprofit organizations and natural resource professionals to answer your specific questions. Attendee will walk away with take-home references, key contacts and clear next steps for personal projects. For questions, email Claire McAdams at firstname.lastname@example.org.
